    Cool Granite Gnome Winter Rally - 3-5 July 2009

    The Dalveen Sports Committee and Community, together with members of the Ulysses Motorcycle Social Club proudly present

    The 2nd Annual Granite Gnome Winter Rally

    on

    July 3rd & 4th & 5th 2009

    held at the

    DALVEEN COMMUNITY SPORTS GROUNDS

    between Warwick and Stanthorpe QLD
    ---------------------------------------------

    We're bringing back the old biker tradition of freezing cold rallies
    (just like Iron Pot and The Tinny Rally)

    Rekindle the lost art of sitting around a roaring fire,
    telling tall tales to your biker mates
    with a cold beer or a warm port in hand,
    whilst enjoying great tucker and friendly country hospitality.

    All Proceeds donated to local charities/community groups in Dalveen
    (Bushfire Brigade, Meals on Wheels etc etc)

    On Site Camping, Great Country Style Food, Licensed Bar (beer,wine and port)

    Saturday Night Jam Session (bring your guitar / harmonica etc)

    Usual Rally Awards
    (including Best Gnome Lookalike!)

    $10 Entry includes lucky gate prize entry

    $2 Kids under 12yrs

    RALLY INFORMATION

    Rally goers are welcome to set up camp from 3.00pm on Friday afternoon.

    Buildings and grounds are locked before this time.

    There are no powered sites available.

    Free Tea and Coffee will be available throughout the rally.

    An assortment of homemade cakes and bikkies will also be available to purchase

    Individual campfires are acceptable if sensibly lit in cleared areas within the bush land surrounding the sports oval

    PLEASE BE AWARE THAT NO FIRES OF ANY TYPE ARE PERMITTED ON THE SPORTS OVAL ITSELF

    BAR & FOOD

    Basic Bar (beer, softdrinks, wine, port and some premixed RTD cans)

    Friday Bar: 6.00 pm till 11.00 pm.

    Friday BBQ Dinner: 7.00pm till 8.00 pm – this is usually a BBQ.

    Sat BBQ Brekkie: 7.30am till 8.30am

    Sat Bar: 10 am till midnight Sat evening.

    Sat BBQ Lunch: 12.00pm till 2.00pm

    Sat BBQ Dinner: 6.00pm till 8.00pm

    Sunday Morning: Coffee/Tea and Toast

    Last year's rally was a blast. Well organised with plenty of good food & drink. Weather was a bit on the cool side overnight so be sure to bring a warm sleeping bag.

    I'll be trying my best to go to this one. Work keeps getting in the way of all the good rallies tho

    I'm aiming to get there - just hope I dont forget the date! I'm going to bring my bed heater (named Heather) to keep me warm!

    It's only gonna be a day trip for me....Between work and home that'd be all i could squeeze in, but it'll be a good day trip.....
    Hopefully will catch who ever there.....
